Welcome to Preferred Powder Coating, the Midwest leader in the powder coating industry. We are veteran owned, recognized for the quality of our work, the integrity of our employees and our commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Our facility in Elk River, Minnesota is large enough to handle any size of job while still maintaining personal contact with each and every client. Preferred works with all types of ferrous and non-ferrous substrates including steel, aluminum, stainless, cast-iron, zinc, and aluminum die castings.
Preferred Powder uses the latest nano technology in our titration cycle allowing us to be designated as phosphate free. The process known as EPP, Enhanced Performance Pretreatment, was designed to exceed the new Minnesota phosphate restrictions, reduce water waste, lower chemical and natural gas consumption all while producing a superior treatment that guarantees a strong chemical bond with the substrate. While more expensive that traditional pretreatments, we feel it's an environmentally sound solution.

Preferred Powder Coating is certified to ISO 9001:2015. [Renew audit successfully completed 2020] it is not just a certificate on our wall. Quality and process documentation are embedded into everything we do. We currently are certified to paint to the toughest standards including Cummins [TM], John Deere [TM], and Caterpillar [TM]. Preferred will also utilize its advanced ERP computerized systems with well-developed history tracking ability. In addition PPC is certified to meet United Laboratories (UL) standards.
